Are You Staying at the Mohegan Sun to Go to a Concert in the Arena?

  • by

The Mohegan Sun is known for its amazing shows and robust lineup. Whether its a headlining act in the arena or a local dance band in the Wolf Den, people from all over decide to come to the Mohegan Sun for a weekend and overnight stay to take in a concert.

Is it a far walk from the hotel rooms to the arena?

We have been to the Mohegan Sun so many times. The shows are incredible. We have seen Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, the New Kids on the Block, and Paul Anka to name a few. If you are staying overnight for one of these shows, you may be wondering how far the walk is from your hotel room to the arena. Is it the same as the Atlantic City hotels or Vegas hotels?

The walk from the hotel rooms in the Mohegan Sun to the arena is really not too bad. For one, you don’t need to go outside at all to get to the arena. If you are staying in the Sky Tower, you will need to walk down the hallway from your room to the elevators. The elevators will drop you off in the lobby. From there, you will notice the escalator with a beautiful waterfall near it. While on the escalator, you will see the infamous Tuscany Restaurant right in front of you which offers fine dining and a bar. Once down on the main floor, walk through the area with the shops and restaurants. You will make it to the arena, which has the box office windows right adjacent.

The walk from the Earth Tower to the arena is a bit further. If you enjoy walking, this is the choice for you. It still however is not a bad walk, nor do you have to go outside at all.

Are There Restaurants Close to the Arena?

The Mohegan Sun offers a wide variety of restaurants, which makes it a great spot. If you’re looking for fine dining, we would recommend making reservations at:

Tuscany

This is the restaurant that you saw as you came down on the escalator. It is right under the huge wall waterfall. It is not too far of a walk from the arena, nor the Wolf Den. They offer wonderful fine dishes such as Chicken Parmesan, Linguini & Clams, and Rack of Lamb. For dessert, dig into Fallen Chocolate Cake or tiramisu.

Ballo

Ballo is a inside-dining beautiful Italian restaurant. You can choose from dishes like Tagliatelle, Chicken Parmigiana, steak and a variety of side dishes. We recommend making these reservations in advance. They will book up fast on show days. It is a bit of a further walk from the arena but still reasonable. It may take around 10 minutes to walk back to the Arena.

Frank Pepe Pizza

Frank Pepe has some of the best pizza! You can find them nestled inside the food court. It is closeby to Ballo, mentioned above. You can save time and order your pizza pies online and it will be ready for you when you arrive at the Mohegan Sun for your show. If you miss this step, you may have to wait on a long line and lose time.

Bobby’s Burger Palace

They don’t accept reservations here. It is located on the other side of the food court. If you’re in the mood for French Fries, grilled cheese sandwich or a burger, this is the place!
